I purchased these Zulu telephone wire baskets ca. 1990 from a woman who bought them in a women's cooperative in South Africa. The Zulu women were using recycled telephone wire is various colors to form these baskets. Many have tags with an indication of the maker's name.

This particular basket is 10 inches in diameter and 2.8 inches tall. The paper tag appears to read "Manecia Hlaeshwago" as the maker. This is a nice and finely made basket.
