Zacualpa Traditional Cargador

This post-1980 traditional woman's cargador was made from 2 backstrap-woven panels, joined in the center with a fine randa stitch, to complete the rectangular shape. The foundation fabric is cotton, the brocaded designs of both cotton and synthetic threads. The dimensions are 46 inches wide and 46 inches long. One end is hemmed, the other end has warp fringes which are partially twisted into a hand-knotted fringe.

Condition is Excellent, appears only lightly used, with some light soil possible.
