Oil painting on canvas measuring 12 x 15 inches, stretched. Signed lower left "Xicara". The artist lives in the town of San Jorge on the north side of Lake Atitlan. He is fond of painting images of the village of San Antonio Palopo, which is located on the southeast side of the lake. This painting is a scene of the typical houses and architecture in the village. It is a quite detailed painting, with Lake Atitlan and the volcanoes Toliman and Atitlan in the background. The old colonial church, which is situated at the center of the community, is on the right-hand side. Women wearing traditional traje can be seen in the streets.
