Oil painting on canvas measuring 34 x 24 inches, unstretched. The painting will be mailed rolled inside a hard tube. Signed lower left "Xicara" and dated 2003. The artist lives in the town of San Jorge on the north side of Lake Atitlan. He is fond of painting images of the village of San Antonio Palopo, which is located on the southeast side of the lake. This painting is a scene of the typical houses and architecture in the village. It is a quite detailed painting, with Lake Atitlan and the volcanoes Toliman and Atitlan in the background. The old colonial church, which is situated at the center of the community, is on the left-hand side. Women wearing traditional traje can be seen in the streets. The last two images below show different parts of the painting in closer perspective.
