San Antonio Aguas Calientes Tzute #4

Large size daily use tzute with colorful warp stripes
Utilitarian tzutes with colorful warp stripes such as this are made in San Antonio for a multitude of daily uses. This particular textile was handwoven on a backstrap loom in two panels. The joining randa is detailed and decorative. All four edges are selvage-finished. Larger tzutes such as this are used for carrying cloths, for babies or for vegetables.

Dimensions: approximately 40 inches wide and 31 inches long.

Condition: Very Good, lightly used, a few loose threads. This textile was recently washed, but there is still a barely-noticeable stain.
