- San Antonio Aguas Calientes Servilleta #7
Product Description
Daily use servilleta with flowers, coral-colored background
This is a traditional servilleta tzute from San Antonio Aguas Calientes. It probably dates from the 1990s. It was handwoven on a backstrap loom in one wide panel. The designs were added using supplemental weft brocading. Notice also the nicely-finished warp fringe. Dimensions are 15.5 inches wide and 18 inches long. Background fabric is cotton in two different colored stripes. The brocading is also of cotton. Condition is Very Good, with some light soil and slight wear to fringes, otherwise this textile is in very nice used condition.
