- San Antonio Aguas Calientes Servilleta #3
Product Description
Daily use servilleta with red parrots
This is a traditional servilleta tzute from San Antonio Aguas Calientes. It probably dates from the 1980s. It was handwoven on a backstrap loom in one wide panel. The designs were added using supplemental weft brocading. Notice also the nicely-finished warp fringe. Dimensions are 19 inches wide and 25 inches long. Background fabric is blue cotton with thin stripes. The brocading is also of cotton. Condition is Very Good, with some few very small stains and one small sewn repair, otherwise this textile is in very nice used condition. This is a really nice older example.
