Oil painting on canvas, measuring 20 x 16 inches, not stretched. The painting will be mailed rolled in a hard tube. Signed lower left "Maria Teodora M." for Maria Teodora, one of the few women artists from Santiago Atitlan. Titled lower right "Tapiscando Maiz", harvesting corn. Maria sells her works in the art galleries in Santiago, where her work is in demand. The men in this painting are wearing the traditional costume of Santiago. This was painted ca. 2006, and was purchased in Santiago in January 2008. The photo below was taken under slightly different lighting conditions, and may more accurately reflect the actual colors.
