This is an oil painting on stretched canvas, and measures approximately 8 x 5 inches. It is stretched but not framed, and shows Lake Atitlan, the village of San Antonio Palopo in the foreground and Volcan Atitlan in the background. It is not signed but is definitely the work of Lorenzo Gonzalez Mendoza, a resident of Solola whose paintings are sold in art galleries around Lake Atitlan. Lorenzo is a highly respected contemporary painter, whose son Otto also paints. This painting was recently purchased in Santiago Atitlan, and is in Very Good condition.
