This is an oil painting on unstretched canvas, and has an image size measuring approximately 25.5 x 13 inches. It is not stretched and not framed, and will be mailed rolled in a hard tube. The painting depicts two Maya men from Santiago Atitlan working in their milpa or farm plot; the Lake Atitlan shoreline and volcanoes are in the background. It is signed in the lower left corner with an LGM monogram for Lorenzo Gonzalez Mendoza, a resident of Solola whose paintings are sold in art galleries around Lake Atitlan. Lorenzo is a highly respected contemporary painter, whose son Otto also paints. This painting was recently purchased in Santiago Atitlan, and is in Very Good condition.
