It is stretched but not framed, and depicts Maya men from Santiago Atitlan collecting vegetation on the lake; the Lake Atitlan shoreline is in the background. It is signed in the lower right corner with an LGM monogram for Lorenzo Gonzalez Mendoza, a resident of Solola whose paintings are sold in art galleries around Lake Atitlan. Lorenzo is a highly respected contemporary painter, whose son Otto also paints. This painting was recently purchased in Santiago Atitlan, and is in Very Good condition.
