Contemporary Indonesian ikat textile measuring 17 inches wide and 68 inches long
This contemporary Indonesian ikat was woven on the island of Lombok. It was hand woven and measures 17 inches wide and 68 inches long. The technique used is warp-faced plain weave. The close-up picture below is of one end. The photo at the beginning is of half of the weaving.
