Joyabaj -- Used Morral #4A

Crocheted cotton man's bag with lettering of place
This old morral from Joyabaj (Department of Quiche) measures 14 x 14 inches. The bag was hand-crocheted of all cotton. The strap was hand-woven on a narrow belt loom, and is also cotton. The lettering appears in 6 rows and runs continuously around the bag. Both sides are pictured.  The sense of the meaasge is somewhat hard to decipher.  Some of the letters make more sense when the bag is turned inside-out

Condition: Very Good, lightly used but presenting no significant flaws. There have been small repairs to the lower corners. This bag has been used and shows some wear and soil, but there is no significant damage and no holes.
