Hugo and Rolando Simon are two brothers from San Juan Comalapa. They paint in very similar manner, and specialize in very detailed paintings of famous scenes in the Guatemalan highlands. This painting was purchased in 2006 in a gallery in Antigua.

This is an oil painting on stretched canvas, and measures slightly 8 x 6 inches. It is stretched but not framed. It is signed in the lower center "Hugo Simon" and titled "Nahuala Guatemala". The scene depicted is the town of Nahuala in Guatemala's western highlands, with its distinctive cathedral in the center of the picture.
