Magical realism is a school of Ecuadorean painting whose founder and major proponent was the painter Gonzalo Endara Crow (1936-1996). Frederico Fuentes was a student and is a follower of Endara Crow. He currently paints and sells his paintings in Quito.

This painting was purchased directly from the artist. It is painted with acrylic on canvas, and is not stretched. Size is 31.4 x 23.5 inches. It is signed lower left "F Fuentes 03", and was painted early in 2003. It will be shipped in a roll inside a hard tube.
