- Francisco Sajvin -- The Lake at San Antonio Palopo
Product Description
Oil painting on stretched canvas measuring approx. 28 x 19.5 inches
Francisco Sajvin is a young artist who lives in the village of Santa Catarina Palopo, on Lake Atitlan. I purchased this painting in 2008 from his mother, who sells textiles in Panajachel. Francisco is self-taught, and paints in his own unique style. His color palette is less vibrant than many of the other painters of the region. This painting depicts daily activity on the lake shore of Lake Atitlan, in the village of San Antonio Palopo. Men and women are all dressed in traditional traje.
