Oil painting on canvas, measuring 32 x 24 inches, stretched. Signed lower right with the monogram of Elmer Cholotio, a Maya artist who lives in Santiago Atitlan on Lake Atitlan. Elmer is a talented contemporary artist who paints in many styles. This painting was bought in 2010 in a gallery in Panajachel. I was particularly attracted by the poignant look on the face of the girl, ignored by the older and larger women in the bustle of the market.
