Domingo Cumes is a young talented contemporary painter from San Juan la Laguna. He currently exhibits in galleries in Panajachel, which is where I bought this painting in January of 2011. The surface of Cumes' work is glossy and textured, due to his thick application of oil paints. His depiction of people's faces is more detailed and authentic than many of his contemporaries.

This painting measures 31.5 x 23.5 inches, and is not stretched. It will be shipped rolled in a hard tube. It is signed in the lower center (on the tan sack) "Domingo C.".
