Danilo Cumes -- Harvesting Coffee Atitlan

Danilo Cumes is a young talented contemporary painter from San Juan la Laguna. He currently exhibits in galleries in Panajachel, which is where I bought this painting in January of 2009. The surface of Cumes' work is glossy and textured, due to his thick application of oil paints. His depiction of people's faces is more detailed and authentic than many of his contemporaries.

This painting measures 32 x 23 inches, and is not stretched. It will be shipped rolled in a hard tube. It is signed in the lower right "Danilo Cumes". The lower picture is of the figure in the upper center of the painting.  Different photos were taken in different lighting conditions, actual color is somewhat in between.
