Chichicastenango Embroidery Panel #6

Art embroidery hanging from Chichicastenango, NEW
These panels are made in the Quiche Maya market town of Chichicastenango, located in Guatemala's southern highlands. They are all embroidered by hand on multiple cotton commercial cloth panels; these small panels are then sewn together to get the larger hanging. Each is unique.

This particular hanging measures approximately 45 inches tall and 32 inches wide, but is somewhat irregular in shape. It was assembled from 6 individual panels. It is new and in very good and clean condition. After the image of the entire hanging, there follows selected shots of individual panels.
