Bolivia Man's Poncho #2C

Large wool Andean Indian poncho measuring approx. 51 x 43 inches
This is an all wool poncho, handspun wool, hand-woven on an Andean loom. The two panels are sewn together with a 10-inch slit left for the head hole. The handwoven edging with fringe was added afterwards. The dyes appear to be largely synthetic. I would guess the date to be ca. 1960-1980.

Condition is Very Good, light soil and staining possible. All the applied fringe is present but some of it is a bit ragged and worn.
