Oil painting on canvas measuring 23 x 33 inches, not stretched. Signed lower center "Jose Antonio pur Gonzalez"; Jose Antonio lives in one of the villages on Lake Atitlan. Titled lower left "Los Cortadores", this painting depicts "The Cutters" or "The Harvesters". Maya men and women can be seen harvesting the three major agricultural export crops of Guatemala -- coffee, cotton and sugar cane.
