San Antonio Aguas Calientes Servilleta #4

San Antonio Aguas Calientes Servilleta #4

Manufacturer: N/A
SKU: G-T-Tz-SAAC-4S
Price: $38.00
This item is in stock
Quantity:
This is a traditional servilleta tzute from San Antonio Aguas Calientes. It probably dates from the 1980s. It was handwoven on a backstrap loom in one panel. The designs were added using supplemental weft brocading. One end is selvage-finished, one end is hemmed. Dimensions are 10.5 inches wide and 21.5 inches long. The format is the same as the San Antonio gorras, or baby hats, though the panel is a little wide. This may be a hat for a larger child. Background fabric is blue cotton. The brocading is also of cotton. Condition is Very Good, with some very light soil possible, otherwise this textile is in very nice used condition. This is a really nice older example.
