Juan Sisay was Santiago Atitlan's first and most famous painter. He had three sons, all of whom painted, as well as a number of grandsons and nephews, all of whom use some variation of "Juan Sisay" in their names. This painting is by Juan Sisay C., a nephew. It shows a woman using a large local leaf as an umbrella.
