This painting was recently painted by the artist Adonias Mendoza Sisay. Adonias lives in Santiago Atitlan, and the painting shows a woman from Santiago, returning from the market with pottery in a basket on her head. It was purchased in the Mendoza family gallery in Santiago 2008.
