Child's Gorra #3

Manufacturer: N/A
SKU: GT-G-3
Price: $50.00
This item is in stock
Quantity:
This child's gorra was woven in a single panel on a backstrap loom. It is from the Maya town of San Antonio Aguas Calientes, located near the ancient colonial capital of Antigua in southern Guatemala. It measures 8.5 inches wide and 16 inches long. One end is selvage-finished, the other is hemmed. The entire brocaded design is two-sided, being the same on both sides of the panel. Condition is Very Good, with some small holes or pulls in the threading visible by close examination of the second photo below. Still a very nice fully-brocaded example. Age is approximately 5-10 years.
