Quiche Old Wool Morral #4

Quiche Old Wool Morral #4

Manufacturer: N/A
SKU: G-T-M-Q-4
Price: $44.00
This item is out of stock
Quantity:
This old wool morral is from Quiche, from the region around Zacualpa or Joyabaj. It is 20-40 years old. The bag appears to be knit or crocheted, but is fairly thick and has what look like floating wefts on the inside. It measures 12 x 14 inches and is in good condition, with no major noticeable holes but shows some stains and is somewhat dirty. The attached strap was woven on a belt loom and is also wool. It is attached at one end, and the length can be adjusted by tying the other end through the loop. Width of the strap is 2 inches and length is 36 inches, woven in a complicated warp-faced weave. Both sides are pictured below.

Condition: Good, lightly used with some stains and repaired strap, slightly dirty.
