Oswaldo Moncayo signs his work "O. Moncayo". He was the oldest son of the painter Hector Moncayo, and painted some of the finest miniature paintings. Oswaldo died in 1986.
Oil painted on canvas, then mounted on masonite hardboard; framed in a simple gray wood frame. Size of painting is 21.5 x 15.75 inches without the frame, 25 x 19 inches including the frame. The title in the lower left corner reads "El Antizana, Ecuador" and the signature in the lower right reads "O. Moncayo". Antizana is a large glaciated volcano in Ecuador. The painting is in excellent condition, and does not need cleaning.
