This post-1980 daily use huipil was hand-woven on a treadle loom. The foundation fabric is gray-colored cotton. The detailed and intricate geometric designs were added during the weaving process using the technique of supplemental weft brocading. They were made using mostly cotton yarns, though there may also be some synthetics. The huipil consists of a single wide panel; both of the lower edges are hemmed. The side stitching (which made the huipil into a finished garment to be used) is still present.
Measurements: 18 inches wide across top of shoulder and arms, and 21 inches shoulder to hem, more or less.
Condition: Very Good, lightly used, some very light dust and soil possible.
