Juan Diego Sisay -- Man with Panama Hat

Juan Sisay was Santiago Atitlan's first and most famous painter. He had three sons, all of whom painted, as well as a number of grandsons and nephews, all of whom use some variation of "Juan Sisay" in their names. This painting is by his grandson Juan Diego (Chavajay) Sisay, and is dated 2003. I purchased it from him in 2005. He paints and sells both his and his family's works in a small gallery in Santiago Atitlan.
