Product Description
Miniature set painted in the Naif style by Tigua artist
The Quechua people of the Andean village of Tigua, Ecuador, paint in the naive style, usually on canvasses of stretched sheepskin. I purchased this set from the artist on a trip to Quito, Ecuador, in the late 1980s. He is one of the Cuyo family, but I have lost his first name, and the set is not signed. The table is round, measuring 6.5 inches in diameter and 3.5 inches tall. There are 4 chairs, all painted differently. They are 1.5 inches high at the seat and 5.5 inches high at the back. All are in very nice condition. The price is for the set of 5 pieces.
