Hand-carved wooden santos are a long tradition in Guatemala, where many saints of both traditional and local folk arigin are depicted. This is a contemporary carving in the traditional style, and depicts San Francisco, or Saint Francis of Assissi. The overall height is about 5 inches, and the figure is very nicely carved. This one has a red robe.
