The women of the village of Nahuala make the clothing of their menfolk in the same way they make their own clothing. The striped fabric is usually hand-loomed on a backstrap loom, and the decorated pieces which make up the collar and cuffs are handmade. All are then cut and sewn into a western-style shirt, which is usually closed up the front with commercial buttons. This shirt is made from such hand-woven fabric. The collar, pockets and zipper closure are decorated with a hand-woven design.
