Child's hat from San Lucas Toliman
This child's gorra was woven in a single panel on a backstrap loom. The person from whom I bought it told me it was from San Pedro Sacatepequez, but I believe it is from San Lucas Toliman, located on Lake Atitlan in southern Guatemala. It measures 9 inches wide and 18.5 inches long. Both ends are selvage-finished. Condition is Very Good, with some light soil and a few pulled threads. This textile was purchased in 2006.
