This is an all wool poncho, handspun wool, hand-woven on an Andean loom. The two panels are sewn together with a 10-inch slit left for the head hole. The handwoven edging with fringe was added afterwards. The dyes appear to be largely synthetic. I would guess the date to be ca. 1980.
Condition is Very Good, one very small hole less than 1/4 inch, light soil possible. All the applied fringe is present.
