Antonio Morales is a contemporary painter who lives and works near Antigua, Guatemala. His work is quite dynamic and colorful, and many depict an espalda or image of the woman's back.
Oil painting on canvas measuring 10 x 13 inches, stretched but not framed. Signed "Antonio M." in the lower right corner. The painting depicts a local woman with lilies and a turket in her basket. It was painted ca. 2007, and was purchased in January 2008 in a gallery in Antigua. The slight glittering in the image is a result of photographic reflections off the texture of the paint.
